The UK, alone, uses approximately 13 billion plastic bottles every year and each one of these bottles can take up to 1000 years to fully decompose.

It is no surprise that plastic waste is a global issue.

With the assistance of dedicated members within our local community, such as Jayne Blizzard (refill.org.uk) and Steve Crawford (Surfers Against Sewage), CaVCA are proud to announce our cooperation with the incredible movement known as "Refill"

The concept is simple; if a water bottle can last a thousand years, then it can be refilled thousands of times before it goes to landfill/recycle.

The Street has recently registered as a dedicated refill station for anyone that finds their bottle run dry whilst out and about. This is completely free of charge.

We are thrilled to be a part of this fantastic action and encourage others to follow in our step.
