Totally Socially threw open the doors of the Rainbow Lane Centre to residents of the Peasey Hill estate in Malton on Wednesday 11th April to host its ‘Peasey Hill Fun for All’ event.

More than 100 adults and children streamed through the doors during the two-hour event and plunged themselves into all the fun activities on offer which included indoor quoits, Pick-A-Stick, Giant Jenga, Arts & Crafts and glitter tattoos. A delicious buffet lunch was provided from Barney’s Sarnies. David Stone, Totally Socially Project Co-ordinator was "a little peeved that he only managed to snaffle half of a black pudding scotch egg" said an un-named source.

Jo Laking, Totally Socially Locality Worker for Ryedale says "What a wonderfully busy and interesting time we had. The use of an ‘ideas tree’ gave us the opportunity to talk to locals to discuss their likes and dislikes of living on the Peasey Hill estate as well as the chance to write down any of their suggestions for improvements or change and then hang them on the tree."

Common themes soon emerged, and a follow-up get together for residents to explore these themes and suggestions is planned for the morning of Friday 27th April 2018 at the Rainbow Lane Centre, Peasey Hill in Malton.
