March has certainly proved to be a very busy month for Peasey Hill People!

Peasey Play was re-launched on 7th March and will run fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm until school pick up times. Held at the Rainbow Lane Community Centre in Rainbow Lane, Peasey Hill, this friendly and fun play session is aimed at parents with pre-school children and only costs £2 per family of 2 children then 50p per child. Free snacks for the children are provided - all welcome.

The group held their first Quiz Night at the community centre on 25th March followed by a pie and pea supper for the quizzers to tuck into. The pies were donated by Yorkshire Baker and the peas came from Peasey Hills Fish & Chip Shop. Local resident, Daphne McElwain, was Quiz Master for the evening and certainly challenged everyone playing in the room. The top 3 scoring teams were delighted to win prizes, some of which were kindly donated by local businesses. Following the success of this night Peasey Hill People are going to another Quiz Night in May.

Friday 29th March saw Peasey Hill People take over the Malton Railway Sports and Social Club, to host a free gig for the residents of Malton. Ska band - Skandals - from Robin Hoods Bay, provided the entertainment for the evening with everyone dancing the night away.

Skandals - live!

Upcoming events include Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Party, Jumble Sale, Games Night - plus much, much more!
