Big Lottery and Office for Civil Society have invested £2 million for groups to deliver local social action projects. The programme aims to increase social action in young people by 50% by 2020. Social action can be a variety of things; campaigning, fundraising or volunteering - anything which enables young people to make a positive difference to their communities.

Two Ridings Community Foundation have been able to secure match funding for organisations in the Scarborough District, meaning organisations applying within that area can apply for up to £10,000.

We will be holding events in Scarborough and Whitby to talk to applicants and potential applicants about the fund and support you through the process, so save the date - Thursday 6th September 2018. If you would be interested in attending, please email.

The fund can support a whole range of things and your organisation does not necessarily have to be a youth organisation. If you have a great idea for a project but are unsure about the fit with the fund, call us! We're more than happy to provide support over the phone or via email.

Please visit the Two Ridings Community Foundation website for further information and to apply - the deadline is 17th September: www.trcf.org.uk/grants-iwill
