Whitby Krampus Run is a storming success! Whitby Krampus Run goes down a storm! December 1st saw the Krampus Run come to Whitby! Many creatures descended on the town to rampage through and find out who has been naughty or nice in the run up to Christmas. The parade featured a creature from the depths of the sea, made from rubbish collected by Whitby Beach Sweep. Whitby Krampus Run is the UK's first Krampus run and it is always held on the weekend closest to the Eve of St Nicholas day. The Krampus run is organised and led by Loz Mitchell and Elaine Edmunds. Krampus first appeared in Whitby as one of their Decadent Drawing sessions and now the beast has taken on a life of his own! This year they added a community element in the form of stalls which were based in the marketplace. Totally Socially helped to organise this part of the event. The Krampus Run was enjoyed by children and adults alike! Krampus encourages children (and adults) to face their fears and do it anyway in order to become more resilient, being able to be fearful but safe all at the same time.
