Whitby Beach Sweep invite you to join them on their 'Summer Sweep' on Sunday 19th August, 2pm-3pm.

They will be meeting at the Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf on West Cliff at 2pm. Once the sweep has begun people will make their way along the beach, zig zags and anywhere that you can see rubbish!

Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided where possible, but if you can bring your own then please do! We encourage the use of reusable bags or containers for the recycling to cut down on the plastic bags used.

After an hour of beach cleaning they will then head to the Full of Beans coffee hut on Kyber pass to discuss what has been found and the issues around the environment. Kindly paid for by Totally Socially.

Please can you ensure that you are dressed correctly for this event. Waterproofs, good footwear, sun cream and a hat are all things to consider.

This is a group that Totally Socially have supported from the very beginning. We would encourage people to attend this event not only to help clear up the beach but to also come together with people who are motivated to make even bigger changes for Whitby town.

Disclaimer; all participants attend at their own risk. You are responsible for your own health and safety and you use the tools also at your own risk.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents leave their children at the beach at their own risk. SAS reps, staff, volunteer beach organisers have no child care provision and are in no way accountable for juveniles (or adults) attending this event.
